Help paint an
underwater mural at Unawatuna, Sri Lanka.

This project
was done 3 years ago and the wall has given joy to many but now the wall has fallen
in to decay. So we are
painting the wall again.
This is what it looks like now.
Come join us for a day of
arts and fun, bring your children, bring your friends. Join a number of artists
from all around Sri Lanka to make a 200-foot underwater mural come to life. If
you can’t make it at least help spread the word, we want all the help we can
get. This project is not endorsed by any government, Non-governmental or
private organization, it’s ‘by the people for the people’. So we need your
help. So the good news is that there will not be any names or Branding on the wall. Only fish.
This is what it looked like after one year.
How you
can help?
- You can come on the given date and be part of the project and bring friends.
- You can tell others about it –sending this email around, calling your friends.
- Bring paintbrushes, containers to mix the paint.
- Some food and drink for yourself and some other person so you can share.
- We are looking for sponsors for the Paint, Brushes, and Food. (This can be individuals or corporate).
- We hope to have 30 children from the village and would like to give them a gift after the project. A school bag with some books and art supplies. (We are looking for sponsors - individuals or corporate).
- Wall repair- we need to Re-paint the wall and do some small repairs before we can work on it. (We are looking for sponsors - individuals or corporate)
- Images or drawings of fish, under water scenery. (So the children who are painting it can use them as examples)
- Bring lots of drinking water for yourself and another person.
